The Triple-A Gwinnett Braves minor league baseball team rallied to tie late but fell short against Lehigh Valley 6-3 on Wednesday at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville.
G-Braves relief pitcher Dusty Hughes (0-1) gave up three runs in one inning of work to take the loss as the IronPigs broke open a 3-3 game with three runs in the eighth.
First baseman Ernesto Mejia led Gwinnett, going 3 for 5 with a double and two RBIs.
The G-Braves will again host Lehigh Valley at 7:05 tonight. The game can be seen on CSS.
