Vehicle fire sets building ablaze in Flowery Branch

Cause of fire still under investigation

Hall County firefighters are investigating a fire in downtown Flowery Branch.

Someone called 911 at 11:32 a.m. and reported that a vehicle was on fire.

When firefighters arrived at the 5600 block of Pine Street, they found the vehicle in a ditch and the building across the street on fire.

"Apparently the vehicle began burning and set the building on fire," Fire Chief David Kimbrell said. "The vehicle then rolled out of the building."

Firefighters were able to put the fire out quickly, he added.

No one was injured in the blaze.
