G-Braves' bats on fire in 13-8 win over Rochester

The Gwinnett Braves outslugged Rochester 13-8 on Friday at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville. Pitcher Buddy Carlyle (3-0) worked 1 1/3 innings of relief, striking out one and not allowing a hit, to pick up the win. Cory Gearrin pitched the final two innings to record his fifth save.

First baseman Ernesto Mejia led the charge on offense, going 2 for 5 with a home run and four RBIs. Stefan Gartrell was 3 for 4 with a homer and three RBIs and Joey Terdoslavich was 2 for 5 with a homer and three RBIs.

The G-Braves continue their series against Rochester at 7:05 tonight.
