Trailing 7-0, the G-Braves’ only run came in the top of the seventh as Ernesto Mejia led off with a homer to center field. The blast extended his hitting streak to 10 games.

However, the Red Wings picked up more in the bottom of that inning as Clete Thomas hit a two-run homer off of Gwinnett reliever Jaye Chapman to extend the lead to 9-1.

The final run of the 10-1 rout came in the bottom of the eighth. Parmelee singled, moved to second on a walk by Carson and scored on an infield single by Tosoni.
