Keller throws a no hitter for Flowery Branch in 1-0 win

Brad Keller threw a no hitter to lead Flowery Branch (17-4, 11-2 Region 8-AAAA) in a 1-0 win against Madison County on Monday night in Flowery Branch.

The Falcons visit Madison County at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

EAST HALL 9, OGLETHORPE COUNTY 4: Hunter Buffington brought home the go-ahead run to give the Vikings (11-10) the lead in the sixth inning on Tuesday afternoon in Gainesville.

Caleb Holtzclaw earned the win for East Hall allowing only four runs over 6 1/3 innings with eight strikeouts.

WHITE COUNTY 7, NORTH HALL 3: Montana Saine led the Warriors (12-8), going 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs on Monday night in Gainesville. Brett Westmoreland went 2 for 2 with one RBI for White County, Dylan Lee went 2 for 5 with two runs scored, and Spencer Adams earned the win, pitching a complete game with 11 strikeouts.

Wade Phillips went 2 for 3 with two runs scored for the Trojans.

The Warriors host Lumpkin County at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday.

GAINESVILLE 16, OCONEE COUNTY 9: Stephen Mason led the Red Elephants (21-0, 16-0 Region 8-AAA South) with a home run and three RBIs on Monday night in Gainesville.

Skyler Weber went 2 for 5 with three RBIs for the Red Elephants, and Luke Moore went 2 for 4 with three RBIs. Hunter Anglin earned the win for Gainesville and Michael Gettys got the save.

The Red Elephants visit Lumpkin County at 5:55 p.m. Friday.

FRANKLIN COUNTY 5, LUMPKIN COUNTY 3: Will Anderson led the Indians (7-13), going 2 for 2 with two runs scored and four stolen bases on Monday night in Dahlonega.

Lumpkin County visits White County at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday.

MONROE AREA 7, JOHNSON 6: Win Griffith had a triple with two RBIs for the Knights (11-10) and Jordan Green went 2 for 3 with a triple and one RBI on Monday night in Oakwood.

Johnson visits Oconee County at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday.

JACKSON COUNTY 3, WASHINGTON-WILKES 0: Andy Williams led the Panthers (11-8) going 2 for 4 with one run and one RBI on Monday night in Jefferson. Jesse Tallent earned the win for Jackson County allowing only five hits in 5 1/3 innings with six strikeouts, and Austin Robinson finished with a double and a run scored.

The Panthers visit Dawson County at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Soccer

WHITE COUNTY BOYS 2, LUMPKIN COUNTY 0: Eddie Hurst scored off of a free kick for the Warriors (4-11, 2-8 Region 8-AAA North) on Monday night in Cleveland.

Coley Loudermilk added a goal for White County late in the second half. Kolby Mooney earned the shutout for the Warriors.

White County visits West Hall at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY BOYS 4, TOWNS COUNTY 1: Nathan Zottnick, Thomas Paris, Kyle Lewis and Tyler Kimball each scored goals for the Lions (7-5-1) on Monday night. Dalton Snyder had seven saves in goal for Lakeview Academy.

The Lions visit Athens Academy at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

TOWNS COUNTY GIRLS 4, LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 0: Mona Abraham recorded 15 saves in goal for the Lady Lions (6-7) on Monday night.

Lakeview Academy visits Athens Academy at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

FLOWERY BRANCH BOYS 4, NORTH HALL 1: A.J. Morris recorded a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 1 singles for the Falcons (13-4, 8-2 Region 8-AAAA) on Monday afternoon in Flowery Branch. No. 1 doubles duo Anthony Monacella and Christopher Hedden added a 6-1, 6-2 win for the Falcons.

Lucas Martin led the Trojans with a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 3 singles.

Flowery Branch will play Loganville in the first round of the Region 8-AAAA tournament at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Danielsville.

FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 4, NORTH HALL 1: Anna Kate Shaw recorded a 6-0, 6-0 win a No. 1 singles for the Lady Falcons (17-1, 10-0 Region 8-AAAA) on Monday afternoon in Flowery Branch. No. 1 doubles duo Durden Smith and Bekki Benton added a 6-0, 6-0 win for the Lady Falcons.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY BOYS SPLIT TWO IN REGION TOURNAMENT: The Lions will enter the state tournament as the third or fourth seed from Region 8-A after defeating Athens Christian 3-0 and falling to Athens Academy 3-1 on Monday night in the region tournament.

Lakeview Academy will play the Riverside Military/Hebron Christian loser at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY GIRLS LOSE IN FIRST ROUND: The Lady Lions fell to George Walton in the first round of the Region 8-A tournament on Monday afternoon. Lakeview Academy’s season is now complete.
