Jaimes scores hat trick for West Hall in 4-3 win

Edgar Jaimes scored three goals within a five minute span for West Hall (8-5-1, 5-3 Region 8-AAA South) in a 4-3 win against Buford on Tuesday night in Oakwood. Ramsis Martinez added a goal for West Hall, and Jaimes and Pedro Perez each had one assist. Frankie Vazquez recorded five saves for the Spartans, and Cesar Marceleno had six.

West Hall hosts Lumpkin County at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

BUFORD GIRLS 4, WEST HALL 0: Tara Dambach, Ceely Coker, Kennedy Webster and Lindsey White each scored for the Lady Wolves (11-4, 6-1 Region 6-AA) on Tuesday afternoon in Oakwood. Caitlin Hollis earned the shutout in goal for Buford.

The Lady Wolves visit Lovett at 7 p.m. Friday.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY GIRLS 3, WHITE COUNTY 2: Carly Kenny scored two goals for the Lady Lions on Tuesday night in Cleveland. Annie Dempsey added one goal, Emily Bendin finished with one assist, and Mona Abraham recorded 11 saves in goal.

Lakeview hosts Town County on Saturday.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY BOYS 3, WHITE COUNTY 0: Knox Roberts and Gaurav Rochwani each scored one goal for the Lions on Tuesday night in Cleveland. Nathan Zottnick finished with one goal and one assist for Lakeview Academy, and Dalton Snyder earned the shutout with six saves.

The Lions host Towns County on Saturday.

CHESTATEE GIRLS 3, FRANKLIN COUNTY 2: Alexis Rebollar scored two goals for the Lady War Eagles on Tuesday night in Carnesville. Sadie Foote added a goal for Chestatee.

The Lady War Eagles host Cedar Shoals at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

EAST HALL GIRLS 4, RABUN COUNTY 2 (MONDAY): Janelly Ramos, Tatiana Castillo, Cintia Argueta and Carol DeLaCruz each scored goals for the Lady Vikings on Monday night in Tiger. The win secured the No. 4 seed for the Region 8-AA North.

East Hall plays the No. 1 seed from Region 8-AA South next week in the region tournament at a time and date still to be determined.

RABUN COUNTY BOYS 3, EAST HALL 1 (MONDAY): The Vikings (8-2-1, 4-1 Region 8-AA North) finished first in Region 8-AA North and will host the No. 4 seed from Region 8-AA South Tuesday in the first round of the region tournament.


UNION COUNTY 2, BANKS COUNTY 1: Luther Jones and Jared Crosky each had a hit and one RBI for the Panthers (10-7, 7-6 Region 8-AA North) on Tuesday night in Blairsville. Daniel Coyne earned the win for Union County.

The Panthers visits Banks County at 4:30 on Friday for the Region 8-AA North title.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 7, TOWNS COUNTY 1: Ramsey Hill led the Lions (12-7, 10-6 Region 8-A) with a single and a double and two RBIs on Tuesday night in Gainesville. Ted Reynolds also had a single and double for the Lions, and Harrison Styles earned the win with six strikeouts in four innings.

The Lions host Commerce at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.


BANKS COUNTY BOYS 3, FRANKLIN COUNTY 2: After losing his first set, Paul Coughlin came back to win 3-6, 6-4, 7-5 for the Leopards at No. 1 singles on Tuesday afternoon in Homer. Jacob Blalock recorded a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles for Banks County, and doubles duo Chris Willis and Justin Yang recorded a 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 win.

The Leopards visit Jefferson at 4 p.m. today.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY BOYS 5, NORTH HALL 0 (MONDAY): Singles players Lee Allen Martin, Seth Black and Connor Thomas each recorded wins for the Lions on Monday afternoon.

NORTH HALL GIRLS 4, LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 1 (MONDAY): Singles player Bailey Towles recorded a 6-1, 6-2 win for the Lady Lions on Monday afternoon.


NORTH HALL GIRLS 91, WEST HALL 116: Jessie Edge led the Lady Trojans with a 44 and Haley Twiggs shot a 47 on Tuesday afternoon at Chestatee Golf Course.

Olivia Davis led the Lady Spartans with a 48.

North Hall will play White County on Tuesday at Mossy Creek Golf Course in Cleveland.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 184, WEST HALL 205: John Jacobs led the Lions with a 40 and Chris Gay shot a 46 on Tuesday afternoon.

Kip O’Kelly led the Spartans with a 46 and Cody Long shot a 47.

Lakeview Academy plays Riverside Military Academy on Thursday at Chicopee Woods Golf Course.

WHITE COUNTY BOYS 319, LUMPKIN COUNTY 337: Joseph Jarrard shot a 69 for the Indians and Austin Booker had a 76 on Monday afternoon at Mossy Creek Golf Course in Cleveland.

Eli Crumley had a 75 for the Warriors.

Lumpkin County will play White County and North Hall on Tuesday at Achasta in Dahlonega.
