Local golf: Chattahoochee ladies play a Turkey Shoot event

The Chattahoochee Ladies Golf Association played a Turkey Shoot for their last event of the year on Tuesday at the Chattahoochee Golf Course.

This was a flighted, low-net event. First flight winners were Ann White in first place, and Beulah Land in second place.

Nancy Negley won first place in the second flight event. Peggy Hall finished second.

Closest to the pin winners were Land (No. 3) and Mona White (No. 17).

The CLGA played a Team Stableford event on Oct. 25 at the Chattahoochee Golf Course.

The team of Ann Hollobaugh, Paula Pilgrim, Nora Gleason and White took first place with the team of Mona White, Carolyn Palmer, Land and Jewel Floyd finishing second.
Closest to the pin winners were Johann Stone (No. 3) and Land (No. 17).

LUNA'S TUESDAY: The Luna's Tuesday golf group played at Chicopee Woods this week.

First place went to the team of Cleve Brown, Jerry Johns, Stan Davidson Jr. and Richard Strickland.

The team of Tom Sexton, Johnny Nix, Joe Roberts and Doug Van took second place.

Third place went to the team of Nelson Wright, Larry Miller, Randy Gordy and Ken Chahoy.

Closest to the pin winners were Sexton (No. 4) Village, Brown (No. 7) Village and (No. 4) School and Roberts (No. 8) School.

CMGA: The Chattahoochee Men's Golf Association played a two-best ball, aggregated net strokes game Wednesday at the Chattahoochee Golf Course.

First place was won by the team of Ben Brooks, Bill Sutton, Roy Lyle and J. B. Johnston.

Eddie Johnson, Dave Long, Clay Bartlett and Bill Falls won second place.

The team of Jim Hollobaugh, Karl Goellner, Richard McClure and Jack Prather took third place.

Closest to the pin winners were Sutton (No. 3), Bartlett (No. 5), Ed Pledger (No. 12) and Don Gage (No. 17).
