Gainesville Police Maj. Gerald Couch recently completed the Chief Executive Training Class for newly appointed police chiefs and heads of law enforcement agencies, according to a new release.

The Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police require all newly appointed heads of law enforcement to complete the 60-hour course.

During the course, administrators are trained on police management and are given an overview of laws and policies that affect their departments.
