In the world of Elvis tribute artists, there are Kings and there are pretenders to the throne.

One of the former, Robby Dean Scott, will perform Oct. 1 at the Loudermilk Boarding House Museum in Cornelia.

Scott, aka “Mr. Polk Salad,” was a finalist in both the 2009 Images of the King Competition in Memphis, Tenn., and in the 2011 West Georgia Idols Competition in Hogansville. He was winner of the ETA Competition at the 10th annual Big E Festival.

Scott previously worked as a Hollywood stuntman, appearing as a double for Burt Reynolds in “Sharky’s Machine” and “Smokey and the Bandit.”

In addition, Elvis Bingo will be held at 6 p.m. “America’s Got Talent” semifinalist Johnny Boyd will perform, door prizes will be awarded and Elvis’ favorite foods — peanut butter and banana sandwiches, popcorn and Moonpies — will be available.

Tickets are $10. Each advance ticket includes a free game of bingo and museum tour.
