Native American showcase comes to Cleveland

POSTED: September 22, 2011 12:30 a.m.

Ben Brady will pull out his personal collection of Native American artifacts Sept. 24 and showcase them at White County Park in Cleveland.

"I have a little bit of everything," said Brady, a member of the Peach State Archaeological Society.

"I started collecting things about 40 years ago. Once you're hooked, you're hooked."

The archaeological society is a nonprofit, "committed to the study of archaeology in and around the state of Georgia."

Brady's collection includes items like arrowheads and tools.

"Plowed fields are the best place to look," Brady said.

This is the 23rd year of the artifacts show in Cleveland. It's free and open to the public.
