Jobless benefits shouldn’t go out until all state’s crops are picked

POSTED: June 25, 2011 10:58 a.m.

I would urge Gov. Nathan Deal to stand by his guns on the illegal immigrant bill that was passed. One viable solution to this labor problem is to look to those getting unemployment benefits. I would suggest before one more penny is paid in benefits, all the peach crops and vegetable crops would have to be picked.

I saw somewhere that these farmers would pay between $12 and $18. People, we don't have a labor shortage. We have a lack of willingness to do some of the menial tasks. We could use our Red Rabbit buses to provide transportation.

This letter comes from someone that is doing business that people say Americans won't do. This is just a suggestion.
