The accolades continued Thursday for retiring Hall County Animal Control
Director Rick Phillips with a presentation by Hall County’s judges on his last day of ordinance violation trials after 31 years of service.

Associate Magistrate Elizabeth Reisman presented Phillips with a certificate of appreciation signed by all of the county’s judges, saying, "everyone in the courthouse knows how sensitive and kind and patient you are. I’ve learned a great deal from you and I thank you tremendously for what I’ve learned."

Assistant County Attorney for Code Enforcement Anne Marie Bishop said that in her 15 years of working with Phillips "his preparation for court, candor, demeanor, organization, responsiveness and attendance have been exemplary."

Phillips briefly addressed a small gathering of judges and attorneys present for the brief ceremony, "One of my objectives has been to never crowd an already crowded courtroom. It’s been an honor and a blessing that I’ve had this privilege to work for Hall County."
