When is Gainesville City Councilman George Wangemann going to stop trying to shove his Mormon religious agenda down our throats?
Now he wants to keep the Sunday liquor sales referendum off the ballot. In other words, he wants to deny the rest of us our Constitutional right to vote, because "... anything that is bad morally creates bad public policy" and "... may affect us all in some way." Give me a break!
Better yet, show Wangemann the part in the U.S. Constitution that forbids laws establishing religion or preventing the free practice thereof. He is free to attend his church, where he can do or not do as he pleases. But don't force your beliefs on everyone else and call it good public policy.
