Proceeds from the ‘Good News for Gainesville' bike ride in October were recently distributed just in time for Christmas. The bike ride, sponsored as a cooperative event among local churches as a ministry to the community, raised a total of $4,500 that was given to three important Hall County ministries: Good News at Noon, Good News Medical and Adults Protecting Children.

Receiving the checks were John Lilly for Good News at Noon, Cheryl Christian for Good News Medical, and Steve Collins. The annual ride, a first for Hall County, has completed its second year of ministry to the community. Ride directors were Alex Sloan of United Community Bank and Tom Ritchie of Delta Air Lines.
