Authors to visit Hall library branch

POSTED: December 15, 2010 11:30 p.m.

The Gainesville branch of the Hall County Library System has planned a jam-packed evening of author visits for today.

Beginning at 6 p.m., three different authors will be discussing their books and signing individual copies for attendees.

Each author covers a different genre of writing, so their visits will appeal to a variety of audiences.

Jeff Head, author of "Running Legal Blues: A Trucker's Life Quest," will be on hand to discuss his novel about lessons learned while traveling the highway.

Dawn Bedingfield, author of "Why Not Black Women," will also be speaking about her book. In her work, Bedingfield addresses a trend of black men seeking out relationships with women of other races.

Rounding out the roster for the day is Clara Stephens, author of "I am Not Forgotten: God Knows my Name" and "Woman, You're Not Alone: A Call to Celebrate Womanhood."

The authors' books will be on sale during the event, which will be held at the library's meeting room at 127 Main St., but admission is free.
