The members of the Sautee Nacoochee Community Chorale are preparing a auditory feast of Christmas goodness.

This weekend, the group will entertain audiences with their annual holiday concert.

The community group is expected to perform classic holiday tunes like "Santa Baby" and "Little St. Nick."

Each year, the chorale, which has about 50 members, performs at least two concerts. The group was founded in the late 1980s and is currently under the direction of Barbara Luhn, who has been its leader for eight years.

The concert will begin at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. on Sunday. It will be held at the Sautee Nacoochee Center, 283 Ga. 255 N.

The community association was formed in the late 1970s by a group of residents who wanted to preserve the Nacoochee Valley. Later, the group decided to purchase an old school building and turn it into the community arts center, with the goal of establishing a regional outlet for the arts.

In addition to the chorale, the community center hosts a number of performing arts entities, including The Art Studio, the Folk Pottery Museum and The Center Gallery.

Tickets are $10 for members of the Sautee Nacoochee Community Association members, or $16 for nonmembers.
