Centennial Arts Academy students recently placed second in the western region in the Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl in Augusta.

Members of the Hall County Education Association went to the state capitol to discuss education issues and legislation with local lawmakers as part of the 25th annual Georgia Association of Educators Legislative Conference. The association met with Lt. Governor Casey Cagle, Rep. Amos Amerson and Rep. James Mills.

Fair Street International Baccalaureate World School has received a $2,000 Best Buy Teach Award for its use of interactive technology in the classroom.

The East Hall High School Winter Guard recently won first place in the Chattahoochee Winter Music Games sponsored by the Southern Association for Performing Arts. Team members include Katy Smith, Tiffany Bishop, Samantha King, Brighid Duran, Josh Wilbanks, Rachel Edmondson and Jessica Mintz.
