Gainesville wins playoff opener

The Gainesville High boys soccer team advanced in the Class AAA state playoffs with a 4-0 win against Cedartown on Thursday night at City Park. With the win, the Red Elephants (15-0) advance to face the Riverwood/Stephens County winner at 7:30 p.m. next Tuesday at City Park.
