Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ashford Hudgins of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Katherine Ashford Hudgins to Mr. Zachary Tyler Propes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hardy Light Propes of Gainesville. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. W. S. Cox of Gainesville, the late Mr. W. S. Cox, Mrs. Albert White Hudgins of Gainesville and the late Mr. Albert White Hudgins

She is a 2006 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and special education from North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega. She is a member of Phi Mu fraternity.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ruffin Emory Ladd and Mrs. B. H. Propes Jr., all of Gainesville, and the late Mr. B. H. Propes Jr.

He is a 2005 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. He graduated in 2009 from North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is employed as a staff accountant with Bates, Carter & Company in Gainesville.

The couple plan to wed May 8, 2010, at Gainesville First United Methodist Church.
