Man arrested in burglary at church

Hall County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man in connection to a burglary Sunday morning at Lakeview Hills Baptist Church on Dawsonville Highway.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the church shortly before 8:30 a.m. Sunday after receiving a call about a burglary that was in progress.

The pastor of the church met deputies outside, and told them the perpetrator was possibly still inside the church.

Deputies found Andrew Willmon, 21, of Cumming locked inside a bathroom.

He was arrested and charged with burglary and second-degree criminal damage to property.

He is being held at the Hall County Jail; bond is $10,000.

The incident remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Criminal Investigation Division.
