Bill and Nobuko Grubbs of Gainesville celebrated their 50th anniversary on Aug. 22, 2009. A reception held in their honor at 2 Dog Restuarant was given by their daughters and sons-in-law Mariko and Mike Hollingsworth, Susan Knotts and Tina and Tim Roberts.

The couple have three children and four grandchildren.
