Zoller leaving WDUN for new FM station

POSTED: November 6, 2009 10:45 p.m.

Local radio show host Martha Zoller will begin broadcasting on FM radio Monday.

Zoller made the shift from WDUN-AM 550 to WXKT-FM 103.7, a new talk radio station serving the Gainesville area.

"Martha is a popular personality and has a big following in Northeast Georgia," said Keven Steele, program director for Cox Radio Gainesville.

Zoller’s show will air at 9 a.m. Monday after America’s Morning News and before the Neal Boortz show.

Steele said her show will retain the same caller-driven, political and current-events format.

"The social and political issues will stay the same," Steele said.

Most of the station’s programming is syndicated and includes well-known radio personalities like Clark Howard and Dr. Laura.

"She is our first local personality," Steele said. "There are a lot of plans on the burner right now (for other local content) and Martha is a big piece of the puzzle."

Zoller began her career as a local radio talk show host in Gainesville. Her popularity led to a network radio program and numerous television appearances on shows including "The Georgia Gang," CNN’s "Talk Back Live" and "The Big Story" with John Gibson on the Fox News Channel.

Her writing has been featured in Bill Shipp’s "Georgia" and she is a regular contributor to HumanEvents.com.
