Two Dawsonville teens were charged with burglarizing North Hall High School after the father of one of the suspects recognized her from a surveillance photo.

The grainy images of two people walking the halls of North Hall at night were released to news media on Sunday, two weeks after the burglary occurred. Someone entered the school after a junior varsity football game Oct. 15 and stole cameras and other electronics valued at about $5,000.

On Tuesday, the father of the female suspect turned her over to Hall County Sheriff’s Officials at North Hall High School after seeing the images on an Atlanta television news broadcast, Col. Jeff Strickland said. The girl’s boyfriend was also charged Tuesday.

Erin Kelsey Pruett, 17, and Christopher Latlippe, 18, both of Dawsonville, each face a single count of burglary.

Strickland said the suspects told investigators they entered the school through an unlocked door. There was no sign of forced entry at the school.

The stolen items have been traced to a Dawsonville pawn shop and will be recovered, Strickland said.
