Dragons stay unbeaten, knock off Banks 35-6

Jefferson senior Caleb Meek had nine carries for 114 yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead the No. 7-ranked Dragons to a 35-6 win over Banks County on Friday at Memorial Stadium.

Lucas Redd had eight rushes for 83 yards and two touchdowns for Jefferson (7-0, 6-0 Region 8-AA). Running back J.J. Damons had 90 receiving yards and was connected with quarterback Darius Minor for a touchdown.

The Dragons’ defense held Banks County (2-5, 2-4) to 89 total offensive yards. Zach Allen and Sam Loggins had 11 tackles each.

Jefferson visits Rabun County at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Tiger.
