JASPER — The West Hall High football team fell to Pickens 28-21 on Friday night.

Spartans quarterback Shunquez Stephens was 17-for-29 passing for 206 yards and three touchdowns for the Spartans.

West Hall’s (0-2) Marquise Young had 93 yards on the ground and caught seven passes for 59 yards. Spartans receiver Ishmail Nuckles had four receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown, and Brandon Fuqua added a receiving touchdown.

West Hall visits Gilmer at 7:30 p.m. next Friday in Ellijay.
