West Hall lost its football season opener 55-26 to East Jackson on Friday in Commerce. Shunquez Stephens led the way for West Hall with 349 passing yards with a touchdown and 12 rushes with two touchdowns. Fullback Marquise Young carried the ball eight times for 106 yards with a touchdown and caught three passes for 22 yards. Leading reciever Ishmail Nuckles had seven catches for 167 yards for the Spartans. The Spartans visit Pickens on Sept. 4. |
