The following students have been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at LaGrange College in LaGrange: Eric Clark, Mushimie Lona Panda, William Simons and Elizabeth Williams, all of Gainesville. To be named to the dean's list, students must earn a 3.6 grade-point average while enrolled in at least 12 hours of courses.

Brian Sengson II of Flowery Branch was named to the dean's list with honors for the spring semester at Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn. To be named to the dean's list with honors, students must earn a 3.9 grade-point average. Sengson is the son of Brian and Kelly Sengson.

Melissa Szabo of Flowery Branch graduated in May from Berry College in Rome.

The following students have been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Berry College: Amanda Perry, Emily Thomas and Bert Harrison, all of Gainesville; and Brittany Howes of Braselton. To be named to the dean's list students must have a 3.5 grade-point average while enrolled in at least 12 hours of courses.

Lindsey Frazier of Gainesville and Philicia Loving of Flowery Branch have been named to the National Society of High School Scholars. Frazier is a student at North Hall High School, and Loving is a student at West Hall High School

Brian Moore of Flowery Branch, Katherine Beebe of Gainesville, Phillip Martin of Oakwood and John Castleberry of Cumming graduated in May from Furman University in Greenville, S.C.

Beebe and Kelley Samples of Hoschton were named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Furman. To be named to the dean's list, students must earn a 3.4 grade-point average.

Tommy Appling of Buford has been named to the dean's list at Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs. To be named to the dean's list, students must earn a 3.6 grade-point average. Appling is a 1999 graduate of North Hall High School.

William Funderburg of Buford recently graduated from Davidson College in Davidson, N.C. Funderburg is the son of David and Jan Funderburg of Buford.

Abigail Brown of Lula was named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Catawba College in Salisbury, N.C. To be named to the dean's list, students must earn a 3.5 grade-point average while enrolled in at least 15 hours of courses.

The following students recently graduated from Truett-McConnell College in Cleveland: Victoria Nimatallah Albritton of Gainesville, Taylor Curt Welborn of Gillsville and Shaun Patrick Hughes of Oakwood.

Three classes at Sardis Elementary recently raised $2,500 for Books for Babies.

Students in Lea Tomlin's first-grade class, Deanna Fawcett's second-grade class and Kim Allen's third-grade class designed all-occasion, birthday and Christmas cards. The cards were printed by Mega Print in Gainesville, and students used the proceeds from the cards to order books from Scholastic and delivered them to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
