No. 16 Golden Tigers stay perfect in conference play

The Brenau University softball team stayed undefeated in conference, defeating Emmanuel 8-1 and 7-1 in a doubleheader Friday in Franklin Springs.

Marisa Litster led NAIA’s No. 16-ranked Tigers (15-2, 4-0 SSAC) with a complete game in Game 2 and a double at the plate in Game 1.

Morgan Smith was 2-for-4 with a home run for Brenau in Game 1. Lynn Groves was 3-for-4 with an RBI.

Brooke Borders, Brooke Bryant and Black each had two hits and Smith and Groves each had a home run Game 2.

Brenau plays host to Reinhardt at 1 p.m. Sunday.
