Four arrested in Hoschton teen's death

Lethal amounts of drugs found in 14-year-old's system

After a four-month investigation, two adults and two juveniles were arrested earlier this week in connection with the December death of a Jackson County high school student, authorities announced tonight.

Mark Ingram, 40, and Donna McDonald, 37, both of 38 White St., Hoschton, and two Hoschton juveniles were arrested Wednesday afternoon.

Brittane Brown, 14, a freshman at Jackson County Comprehensive High School, was found dead Dec. 27. at Ingram and McDonald’s Hoschton home.

McDonald was charged with a felony count of involuntary manslaughter, a felony count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and a misdemeanor count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Ingram was charged with possession of drug-related objects, possession of marijuana and disorderly house.

One juvenile was charged with two violations of Georgia Controlled Substance Act. The other juvenile was charged with one count of possession/sale/distribution of dangerous drugs.

Brown had lethal amounts of Schedule II and Schedule IV narcotics in her system, according to a toxicology report from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab.

Officers are not prepared to comment on what evidence discovered during the investigation linked the charged individuals to the incident of Brown’s death.
