POSTED: February 21, 2009 11:55 p.m.

Residents in the North Georgia mountains could wake up to a dusting of snow before they head out to church Sunday morning.

The National Weather Service forecasts a chance of light rain tonight mixed with snow after 1 a.m. in areas from Cleveland north into the mountains. Temperatures are expected to fall to around 31.

The chance of precipitation is 30 percent, and it is expected to be light, with little accumulation expected. However some icy spots could form on roads as temperatures fall, and motorists are urged to take it slow.

Sunday will be cold, with a high near 47 and winds blowing from 10 to 20 mph, with gusts of 25 mph possible. Sunday night will be clear with lows in the mid-20s.

This story will be updated throughout the night as conditions warrant. Also, check on Sunday for possible closings or news involving winter weather.
