Bob and Karol DeVries of Buford announce the engagement of their daughter Terah DeVries to Justin Palmer, son of Len Davis of Flowery Branch and Jeff Palmer of Gainesville.

She is a 2004 graduate of West Hall High School in Oakwood. She graduated in 2007 from Gainesville State College in Oakwood with an associate's degree in physical geography and is pursuing a bachelor's degree at Gainesville State College in applied environmental spatial analysis. She is employed as a GIS mapping assistant with Gainesville Public Works.

He is a 2001 graduate of Johnson High School in Gainesville. He graduated in 2005 from Lanier School of Technology with a degree in criminal justice. He is employed as a police officer in the specialized services division with the Gainesville Police Department.

The couple plan to wed Aug. 22, 2009, in the summer garden at the Legacy Lodge in Buford.
