Georgia to play host to preseason NIT games

ATHENS — Georgia will play host to four games in the consolation bracket of the NIT Tip-Off tournament next week.

Arizona, Santa Clara and Mississippi Valley State will join Georgia in the two-day bracket, which was announced on Wednesday.

On Monday, Arizona will face Mississippi Valley State at 5:45 p.m., followed by the Georgia-Santa Clara game at 8 p.m.

On Tuesday, Arizona will face Santa Clara at 5:45 p.m., followed by the Georgia-Mississippi Valley State game at 8 p.m.

Loyola of Chicago beat Georgia (2-1) 74-53 in the Bulldogs’ opening game of the NIT Tip-Off at West Lafayette, Ind., on Monday. Georgia beat Eastern Michigan 61-60 on Tuesday.
