William Lee and Kathy Lovett of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Jill LeAnn Lovett to Mark Clifford Kelly, son of Elizabeth and John B. Kelly Jr. of Americus and Lunelle Kelly of Bonaire.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Doris Sapp of Macon, the late W.C. Sapp and the late James Louis and Grace Cromer Lovett.

She is a 1993 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 1997 from Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., with a bachelor's degree in journalism. She received a master's degree at the University of Georgia in Athens in instructional technology in 1998 and a specialist in education in instructional technology from the University of Georgia in 2006. She is employed as a second-grade teacher at Martin Elementary in Flowery Branch.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Willa Mae and John Ben Kelly Sr. of Monticello and the late D.C. and Marie Alford.

He is a 1987 graduate of Americus High School in Americus. He graduated in 1991 from the University of Georgia in Athens with a bachelor's degree in journalism. He is employed as a language arts teacher at West Hall High School in Oakwood.

The couple plan to wed December 20, 2008, at First Baptist Church in Gainesville.
