Josie Coker went 4 for 4 at the plate, sparking East Hall to a 5-0 victory in seven innings over Stephens County on Wednesday in Toccoa.

All of Coker’s hits were singles. East Hall pitcher Steffanie Redmon pitched a complete game shutout, allowing six hits while striking out five. The Vikings took the lead in the third inning on an RBI single by Logan Turner. East Hall hosts Franklin County in a Region 7-AAA contest at 5:30 p.m. today.

FLOWERY BRANCH 11, CHESTATEE 3 (5 INNINGS): Falcons senior Kelly Kahlert and juniors Bailey Sims and Shelby Griffin combined for seven hits and nine runs scored on Wednesday at Chestatee. Flowery Branch travels to Loganville today for a Region 8-AAAAA matchup at 6 p.m.

BUFORD 9, NORTH GWINNETT 1 (5 INNINGS): Wolves pitcher Kennedy Kotula tossed her second complete game of the year, allowing three hits and an unearned run while striking out six batters on Wednesday in Suwanee.

Gutierrez went 2 for 3 for Buford with two homers, including a three-run shot in the fifth inning, and four RBIs. Drew Puckett also had a two-run blast for the Wolves, while Sydney Stavro went 2 for 3 with a triple, double and stolen base, and Remington Hasty went 2 for 3 with a double.

Buford outhit North Gwinnett 11-3. The Wolves open region play against North Oconee at 6:30 tonight in Buford.

PAIDEIA 7, LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 4: Alyx Kanady hit a two-run home run for the Lions, while Julian Garrett had an RBI triple on Wednesday at Lakeview. Hannah Brown recorded 13 strikeouts for
Lakeview in the circle. The Lions Hebron Christian Academy today at 4:45 p.m.
