Farmers bring the market to the shoppers

POSTED: August 23, 2014 12:30 a.m.

Residents of a local assisted living home didn’t have far to go Friday to shop in the area’s newest farmers market. Several area farmers, as well as craft and lotion businesses, set up in the parking lot of Summer’s Landing at Limestone for the first annual farmers market. The market was to let residents at the assisted living and memory care facility get the farmers market experience without the travel, said Life Enrichment Director Rachel Wallace.
