Handgun training event looks to put a stop to human trafficking

POSTED: August 14, 2014 11:53 p.m.

A handgun training event, “Taking Aim at Human Trafficking,” will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 23 in Gainesville.

The event will be held at the Chicopee Woods Agricultural Center, 1855 Calvary Church Road and will feature over 50 vendors, food and a surprise guest speaker. Holly Lynch, a Gainesville native who started a home for underprivileged and exploited girls in Central America, also will fly in from Costa Rica to speak at the event.

All proceeds, after expenses, will go toward Seeds of Hope Homes and other anti-human-trafficking nonprofits such as Street Grace.
