High school scoreboard: Aug. 12

Whitney Coles tallied 15 assists and five aces for Flowery Branch in wins against East Hall (24-26, 25-13, 25-22), Gilmer (25-22, 19-25, 25-22) and Jackson County (25-11, 25-20) on Tuesday in Gainesville.

Erin McGlone added 13 kills for the Lady Falcons, and Katie Hall had 11 aces and six kills.

Allyson Segars recorded 24 service points, 15 digs, 12 aces, 11 kills and an assist for East Hall in a pair of wins against Jackson County (25-11, 25-23) and Gilmer (25-14, 25-7) and the loss to Flowery Branch.

Cassida Shockley added 30 assists, 10 aces, seven digs and two kills for the Lady Vikings (7-1), and Savannah Lindsey had 33 digs, three aces and a kill. Jessica Chmiel notched six aces, six kills, five digs and two blocks, while Minette Maldonado tallied 10 digs, seven kills and four aces.

East Hall plays host to East Jackson, Madison County and Johnson on Thursday in Gainesville, while Flowery Branch hosts Lakeview Academy and Archer.

BUFORD WINS TRI-MATCH: Gabby Curry notched 15 kills and nine aces for the Lady Wolves in wins against Parkview (25-10, 25-15) and Meadowcreek (25-5, 25-8) on Tuesday.

Morgan Mitchell added 20 assists for Buford (2-0), Mikhayla Riegel had 16 digs and Halston Hilier recorded seven aces.

The Lady Wolves play host to Mill Creek and North Gwinnett on Thursday.

NORTH HALL SPLITS PAIR: Makenzie Bryant’s 41 digs paced the Lady Trojans in a win against North Forsyth (21-25, 25-17, 25-20) and a loss to West Forsyth (22-25, 26-24, 28-26) on Tuesday in Cumming.

Sydney Cleveland added 17 digs, 14 kills and three blocks for North Hall. Lily Paschall had 35 assists, and Julie Daniels had 17 digs, 15 kills and four blocks.

JEFFERSON TAKES ONE: Abby Wood notched eight digs and three kills for Jefferson in a loss to Hebron Christian Academy (25-19, 25-12) and a win against Central Gwinnett (25-4, 25-17) on Tuesday in Dacula.

Paige Watson had four assists and two digs, and Madison Corbett added two digs and two assists for the Lady Dragons (5-2).

Jefferson plays host to Monroe Area and Prince Avenue Christian on Thursday.

LUMPKIN GOES 1-1 IN TRI-MATCH: Seniors Sidney Ramsey, Mallie Sykes, Rachel Wasserman, Cherokee Day and Courtney Caldwell led the Lady Indians in a win against Pickens and a loss to Fannin County on Tuesday.


COMMERCE 11, LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 2: Julian Garrett went 3 for 4 with a double, triple and home run for Lakeview (0-1).

The Lady Lions play a doubleheader at Providence Christian on Thursday.

CHESTATEE 14, CLARKE CENTRAL 4: Kayla Watson’s 3 for 4 performance with four RBIs, three runs scored and three stolen bases paced the Lady War Eagles on Tuesday in Athens.

Kenyatta Wesley went 2 for 5 for Chestatee with two runs, three stolen bases and an RBI, and Shelby Palmer was 2 for 4 with four RBIs and a run scored.

Bailey Mason earned the win pitching, and Georgia Patterson got the save.

The Lady War Eagles play host to Rabun County at 5:55 p.m. Thursday in Gainesville.
