Gainesville dialysis center earns award

Fresenius Medical Care Lake Lanier, at 2565 Thompson Bridge Road, Gainesville, has been awarded the Center of Excellence designation for achieving the highest standards in patient care in 2013.

The annual award recognizes the best-performing Fresenius Medical Care North America dialysis facilities nationwide, based on multiple objective measures of clinical quality. Fresenius is the nation’s leading network of dialysis facilities.

“At Fresenius Medical Care, our clinical teams are focused on providing patients with the highest quality of care during each and every treatment,” said Debra Meade, senior director of clinical services. “Our Center of Excellence award recognizes the facilities that achieve the very best clinical results through the dedication and hard work of their staff.”

Solar energy company names Dahlonega’s Provence to board

Kelly Provence of Dahlonega has been named to the Board of Advisors of New Energy Technologies Inc.

New Energy is the developer of see-through coatings capable of generating electricity on glass and flexible plastics.

Provence, a solar photovoltaic design and installation expert and North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners Certified Professional, has nearly 20 years’ experience, has designed and installed over 200 kilowattts of battery-based photovoltaic systems and has designed, installed or consulted on over 10 megawatts of grid interactive photovoltaic systems.
