Principal Charlene Williams, along with students, accepted the grant from Debbie Love, general manager of Funtastik!/ Gainesville Bowl.

Centennial Arts Academy was nominated by Funtastik!/ Gainesville Bowl and other Gainesville and Hall County elementary and middle schools. Its name was placed in a national drawing from the “Kids Bowl Free” organization for 50 grants of $1,000 each. More than 30,000 schools were nominated.

During the check presentation, Williams said the school will use the funds to purchase a reading activity book for every student at Centennial Arts Academy to encourage continued growth in reading during the summer.
