Hall County: Chicopee principal leaving for new job

Chicopee Woods Elementary School Principal Hank Ramey will be leaving the Hall County School District to take a job as principal of Banks County Middle School.

Ramey has served as principal at Chicopee Woods since 2010, and has been employed with the Hall County School Distict since 1994 and has previously worked as an administrator at Jones Elementary and East Hall Middle School.

Ramey will assume his role at Banks County Middle School in time for the new school year.

Hall County school officials said the district will advertise for the open prinicipal position and begin accepting applications. Candidates will be screened by a panel before the superintendent recommends a candidate to the school board.

During the transistion, Chicopee Woods Assistant Principal Kelley Tripp will be in charge of day-to-day operations.
