Feel the spirit of indie music from David Rose and Russell Ferrara

Crystal Clear Guitar Ensemble to play with two recording artists

POSTED: June 19, 2014 1:00 a.m.

A potpourri of Native and Latin American sounds mixed with African rhythms and folk and flamenco flourishes will drift through the air in a Saturday night concert featuring two unique musicians.

Spirit Wind recording artists David Rose and Russell Ferrara will play at 7 p.m. June 21 at Buford First United Methodist Church, 285 E. Main St., in Buford.

Rose and Ferrara perform a unique blend of indie-classical instrumental music, weaving all kinds of different genres into the sound. Rose performs New Age flute and double flute solos while Ferrara plays classical guitar arrangements of garage-band instrumentals.

The Crystal Clear Guitar Ensemble, composed of youth from the Buford area, will join Rose and Ferrara in their concert. Members of the ensemble trained with Ferrara at the Childbloom 2013 summer camp and performed with him at his Buford concert last year.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $9 for students with a valid ID, $6 for children and $36 for a family. For advance tickets, visit roseferrarageorgia.brownpapertickets.com or call 678-889-2177.
