Wineries uncork wares in Dahlonega

Annual wine festival starts this weekend

Ribs, barbecue and music along with wine and beer are on tap for the annual Georgia Wine Country Festival every weekend in June.

Three Sisters Vineyards & Winery is hosting the event every Saturday and Sunday in June at its Lumpkin County vineyard.

Admission is free for festival at 439 Vineyard Way, Dahlonega. Daily tasting costs a fee once inside.

The wine garden will feature wineries such as Boutier Winery, Chateau Elan, The Cottage Vineyards and Winery, Currahee Winery, The Georgia Winery, Mercier Orchards-Hard Pressed Cider, Montaluce Winery, Paradise Hills Winery and Three Sisters Vineyards.

Rib Country and Bonelick BBQ will sell its barbecue and other foods.

Georgia wine and beer will also be available to purchase.

Musicians will entertain the crowds with jazz, Americana and bluegrass tunes. The musical lineup for each weekend is:

June 7: Mossy Creek Gypsies

June 8: The Buzzard Mountain Boys

June 14: Moose & Squirrel

June 15: Atlanta Jazz Duo

June 21: Moose & Squirrel

June 22: The Buzzard Mountain Boys

June 28: Jefferson Ross

June 29: Arlo Finch & Friends
